Are you missing your barista?

October 8, 2020

Are you missing your daily frothy cappuccino expertly made by your favourite barista? The coffee bar culture has taken a massive hit during this pandemic and sadly it’s one of those luxuries that we are being forced to miss out on. If you are a person who enjoys spending time in a coffee bar it seems the only solution is to set up your own in house speciality coffee bar! What a brilliant idea I hear you say! Well, believe it or not having your own coffee bar at home is all the rage and very on trend.  You can get coffee and ambience whenever you want!  You don’t even need a large kitchen in fact you can have your super cool coffee bar wherever you want!

Let's take a look at some unique and beautiful coffee bar ideas that will inspire you to take the plunge and get that dreamy cortado at home.

You could start off with just a corner. The main things you’ll need are a surface on which to make your coffee, storage for cups and sundries and a power socket for your coffee machine. But what makes this exciting is the decoration and accessories.  Do you have a corner that would also have enough space for a couple of comfy chairs? Maybe you could incorporate a reading area into your cosy coffee corner - just a space for you and maybe a friend to chat and put the world to rights or just for you to put your feet up and have a break.

Beachy Coffee Station – Make your coffee station beachy, set up white shelves and beach decorations, add shells, wicker baskets and a fishing net to get that holiday feeling.

Classy and Chic - Clean lines and a cool vibe might suit your decor? Lots of chrome and white.

Minimalist Home Coffee Corner - If you enjoy the look of minimalism and don’t want your coffee clutter on display why not upcycle an old cabinet and hide everything away - except for your beautiful coffee machine of course!

You could add a music dock to your coffee station. What about a chalkboard? Or go the whole way and put up a neon coffee shop sign, bean bags, cushions, blankets and a footstool! Sounds like bliss to me. Have fun and invite your friends over and enjoy a chat over a delicious coffee - just like the old days.
