The ironic thing about decorating a house is that priority goes to public places and bedrooms quickly fall on that list even though it is where we spend most of our lives and which should be our little paradise. We have some design trends for you which will help you get that feeling by transforming your bedroom space.
1. Mattress
The most important element of adequate quality of sleep is a good mattress. A model that fits your needs will make a big difference so don't save money buying a new mattress or restoring an old one and your body and mind will thank you for.
2. Underfloor heating
Imagine waking up in the morning and, just when you think you can't get up because you can already feel the cold on your bare feet, you feel a faint warmth and you can start your day relaxed and pleased. Also, it is good to know, instead of common opinion about it - underfloor heating is actually fairly cheap.
3. Lighting
It is scientifically proven that raising the natural light into your home is the key to boost your mood and to stimulate serotonin in your brain.
When you are investing in glazing there are many factors to think. For example, you could opt for investing in thermal controlled glazing but good glass could be expensive so be prepared for investing money in it.
Also, when it comes to unnatural lighting make certain the overhead fixture and table lamps provide adequate brightness for your ‘bedside jobs’ such as reading or relaxing after a long day. Other areas of your bedroom, such as near your closet or a piece of beautiful artwork, can be brightened by chandeliers or metallic designer lamps but make sure your bedroom atmosphere stays relaxing and easing for good nights sleep with soft lighting.
4. Artwork and decoration
Every room deserves a gorgeous piece of artwork and harmonious decoration. You can express your personality through the right painting and let the room show your taste in interior design. You may consider using rustical reclaimed wood for your bedroom elements, bringing in quality rug which will be soft to touch, will muffle noise and look amazing, selecting all-natural bedding that feel soft against the skin and provide the level of warmth you like and whatever helps you relax will help the room look cosy and inspiring.
5. A walk-in closet
Most people's habit is to have a wardrobe to use as soon as they get up in the morning. These closets are not only helpful in keeping all of your clothes in one place (with all of racks, rods, drawers, and bins), it also could be super-stylish part of the furniture.
